Sundays well spent…

As spring is in full swing and summer is fast approaching, what better excuse to get the family out of the house and spend quality time together over a Sunday lunch.

At The Embankment, you can either indulge in a traditional British Sunday roast in one of Bedford’s top pubs or sun worship on our open terrace with a glass of fizz and the glorious views of the river. Even the team then get the chance to catch some rays whilst serving you the good stuff. roast

Choose from top quality beef or pork from Aubrey Allen, not forgetting our delicious spring vegetable wellington. All served with crisp and golden roast potatoes, well-risen Yorkshire puddings, roasted root veg and buttery spring vegetables. If like us you choose to bathe yours in gravy – we’ll keep the jugs coming. In fact, eat your fill. We’ll be round to tempt you with extra roasties and Yorkies. But don’t forget to save

room for our crumble of the day served with your own personal jug of custard. It’s what makes the perfect Sunday roast.

If you’re not convinced, here’s what our guests say:

14 of us enjoyed Sunday lunch. The food and choice of food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambience

was good.”

We booked Sunday lunch at The Embankment to celebrate my 60th birthday.

We were not disappointed. We were a table of 8 and placed in the large function room at the back. We all ordered roast dinners. The food was delicious and we felt well looked after. Tasty desserts too! Good value for money. I would definitely recommend and look forward to future visits.”

Called in here on a Sunday evening with a mate after watching footy and a few beers. So not planned or booked. What a great spur of the moment choice! Had the roast beef, and wow, a roast every bit as good as my Mums! Loads of food, great crispy spuds and tender melt in mouth beef. Delicious! Also thoroughly recommend the blueberry gin! Brilliant end to a brilliant Sunday. Will definitely be going back for another roast!”

Give us a call and let us take the hard work out of your Sunday.
